From a Convo with a friend about my ambitions and her surprise advancing, earning more money, and moving to a bigger, better firm isn’t on my to-do list:
E: I guess i’m just surprised there’s nothing else you’d rather be doing that you’d be more than just fine with.
Me: I’d rather be a Novelist, but being a full-time Novelist isn’t a job you apply for in that way. Hence why I write like I do. I’ve been applying for my dream job for the past three years in earnest and I’m going to keep applying.
