2017 and Beyond

Beneath the Wood is now available in paperback. You can find it here on Amazon, with its all new beautiful artwork done by brilliant artist and friend, Melissa McDonald.

Five Talents is currently in my editor’s court for her review and proofing. I think it’s pretty much done pending her polish, and will be shopped around to agents and publishers into the Spring. Depending on how the shopping goes, it’ll either be published by someone else, or self-published by yours truly.

My editor promised to get Five Talents back to me by the 20th, so I actually took that as a sign to enjoy a break. I pretty much went right from the yearlong work writing/editing/rewriting Beneath the Wood into the half year Five Talents took me, so a couple weeks to really focus on reading and other stuff will be worthwhile.

After I’ve completed the review of edits on Five Talents, my loose plan is to begin working on drafting my next novel, Of Unicorns and Satellites while sending around queries.

What this means for Optional Irony is that the next couple weeks will be pretty sparse, post-wise. However, things will pick back up at the end of the month as I start producing material for Of Unicorns & Satellites.

What this means for me, personally, is that it’s a New Year, but nothing has changed. I’ve got the plan for the next couple months of work and writing, and I hope you all are fixing your project outlines as well.

Whatever your grind is, be about your grind.

Happy new year. We move forward.
